KPMG is a multinational professional services network. The Ireland branch is starting a new competition that will seek out the best tech innovator in the country. This competition will be accessible to tech entrepreneurs and start-up companies in Ireland that are either tech-enabled, tech-driven, tech-led, or plain technology.
Technology companies that apply must have operated for five years or less, be registered and based in the Republic or Northern Ireland, and have revenue production anywhere between one and ten million dollars or have cultivated $500,000 in company equity. The candidates that apply need to have new and established technology, the ability to show the momentum of their business and potential growth, and strong business models. To be considered, the applications will need to be submitted to KPMG Ireland’s website by August 20th, 2021.
Competitors in the contest will be welcomed to share their tech innovations and demonstrate their goals for growth to a wide committee of judges. The specific judges have not yet been announced, but will be soon. Of what is known currently, these judges will include lucrative investors and entrepreneurs in the industry.
The overall winner of the competition in Ireland will then move on to the Global Tech Innovator final. This final will be held at the Web Summit 2021 competition hosted in Lisbon, Portugal in November. The winner will receive a number of exciting prizes including accommodation and travel to Lisbon, tickets to Web Summit 2021 as KPMG’s members, a stand for one day at the summit, and full access to new mentoring opportunities and networking experiences.
The competition will include innovative technology leaders and companies across Ireland as well as from 17 other areas spanning the globe. This will include competitors from Brazil, South Africa, Canada, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Germany, Israel, India, Mexico, Portugal, Taiwan, Peru, Spain, United Arab Emirates, United States, Qatar, and Great Britain.
The Partner, Head of Technology and Media, and Fintech Lead of KPMG in Ireland, Anna Scally has commented on the contest. She has said that Irish tech companies are some of the best in the world at the moment. The competition is open to any company that truly believes their services can be the next major tech innovation. The competition is looking for energetic tech powerhouses that are looking to step up to the next level.
If you are an innovative tech company looking for an opportunity to grow and network, this competition is just for you. It is still early days, but more information will be released soon, including the specific judges that will sit on the panel.
